If you have coins, paper money, or autographed items sitting in a drawer and you’ve always wondered whether they’re worth getting professionally graded or authenticated, this is your chance to find out without any guesswork.
Herb’s Coin Shop is hosting a JSA, NGC, and PMG Authentication and Grading Submission Event on Saturday, March 7th from 10am to 3pm at our Port Charlotte location.
What Is This Event?
Representatives from the grading services will be onsite to review your items in person. This is not a typical drop-off — you can bring your pieces, have them looked at by experts, and get free quotes on submission costs before you commit to anything.
We will be accepting submissions for:
- NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Company) — coins
- PMG (Paper Money Guaranty) — currency and bank notes
- JSA (James Spence Authentication) — autographed items and memorabilia
What Should You Bring?
Coins of any kind, old paper currency, signed sports cards, signed photos, signed equipment — if it has a signature or it’s a coin or note you’ve been curious about, bring it in.
Not sure if something is worth grading? That’s exactly what this event is for. Bring it and ask. Free quotes are available, and there’s no obligation to submit anything.
Why Get Your Items Graded?
Professional grading and authentication does two things. It verifies that what you have is genuine, and it assigns an objective grade that buyers and collectors can trust. A certified coin or authenticated signature in a sealed holder is worth significantly more on the market than the same item ungraded, because the grade is independently verified.
For most people, the question is whether grading makes financial sense for a specific piece. That’s the conversation you can have at this event before spending a dime.
